LOUISE POCOCK MILLINERY

"Everyone can wear a hat," says Louise. "and I believe most people can make one...There are no rules - only creative thinking and the ability to shape, mould and transform a natural fibre into a wearable work of art.  Hats are essential items of clothing for wearing any day of the week and they give you so much confidence. If you tilt your hat in a certain way, you'll form a relationship with it and interact with that hat which will inspire you with a creativity you never knew you had. As Frank Sinatra once said, 'Cock your Hat - angles are attitudes!"

And Louise is offering Passport holders a 10% discount off one of her handmade hats - for men and women - and 20% off the second, which is an offer no one can afford to pass on.

Louise fuses a sense of the vintage with a contemporary twist bringing a fresh look to the old classics. She works from her studio shop in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds on Chipping campden High Street. Louise is passionate about sharing her knowledge. "Its the 'secrets' that we need to pass on. These traditional techniques are handed down from generation to generation and we as milliners have a duty to keep this wonderful industry alive".

Louise provides millinery tuition to suit recreational, vocational and educational needs, one to one tuition, weekend and one/two week day workshops. She herself has gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion and Textiles as well as the City and Guilds Level 2, Level 3 and Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Creative Arts specialising in Millinery.

Information on future classes can be seen on this website under the section 'workshops'. As well as on her social media pages of facebook and twitter. And thanks to Andrew Ogilvy for the use of his great photography.
